There will be no café on Monday 2nd March and Tuesday 3rd March due to Parents’ Evening.
This half term all profit made through the Café will go to the Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal. Daffodil pins will be available to purchase every evening between 3.30pm and 4.30pm in the SIgnhills Broadway Café, along with tea & coffee.
There will be no crossing patrol on Hardy’s Road on Monday 2nd March, afternoon only.
Due to Parents’ Evening the Infants will be celebrating World Book Day on FRIDAY 6TH MARCH.
As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Red Nose Day brings the entire nation together to do something funny for money. To do our bit and raise money the children are encouraged to dress in red and wear a ‘funny face’. We are asking for a donation of £1 from all children who are participating.
We will also be using Red Nose Day as a teaching opportunity so that our students can learn about the issues children across the world face, and how the money we raise can help them.
Red Noses will be available for the children to buy in school from tomorrow.
To help raise the profile, and promote a love of reading, Signhills Academy will celebrate World Book day on Thursday 5th March and as part of this the children may, if they wish, come to school dressed as a character from a children’s book. Pupils’ dress must be appropriate and suitable for the school day. Any children not wanting to participate should come to school wearing their school uniform as normal.
In addition to this, we have also asked pupils to bring into school one of their favourite books.
