Sumdog

We have just started using a new mathematics website called Sumdog (http://www.sumdog.com/). On Sumdog, pupils can play games to practice hundreds of topics.

Every child has been given a card with their username and password on, and the school code which they will need to log onto Sumdog.

I hope you and your child will enjoy using this new resource, please let us know your thoughts!

Solar Eclipse

As you are probably aware, there will be a solar eclipse on Friday morning.  In preparation for this, classes have been looking at why solar eclipses happen and what we can expect on the day.  On Friday morning, following an assembly to reiterate safety and behaviour expectations, the pupils will go onto the playground in their classes.  They will use pin-hole viewers, as recommended by the Royal Astronomical Society, to view an image of the event – projected onto card.

If you have any questions, or do not wish your child to take part, please contact the office.
