As you are probably aware, there will be a solar eclipse on Friday morning. In preparation for this, classes have been looking at why solar eclipses happen and what we can expect on the day. On Friday morning, following an assembly to reiterate safety and behaviour expectations, the pupils will go onto the playground in their classes. They will use pin-hole viewers, as recommended by the Royal Astronomical Society, to view an image of the event – projected onto card.
If you have any questions, or do not wish your child to take part, please contact the office.
Between Monday 16th March and Saturday 28th March 2015 the Grimsby Telegraph will be printing Tokens in the paper each day.
We will be collecting these in school, so if you have any vouchers please send them to the Junior office.

On Friday 20th March, Ebony in year 4 will have her hair cut off in an assembly here at Signhills in aid of the Little Princess Trust.
The Little Princess Trust was set up in memory of Hannah Tarplee, a little girl from Hereford who sadly lost her short battle with cancer in June 2005. The charity was set up by Hannah’s parents after she died to provide real hair wigs to children suffering hair loss.
If you want to help support the Little Princess Trust and Ebony’s ‘Big Chop’, you can donate via http://www.mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/ebonysbigchop
More information on the Little Princess Trust can be found at http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/
