On Friday morning, lab rascals came to do a volcano workshop with year 3. We recapped what we have learnt about the structure of the earth and how volcanoes are made. Did you know that the biggest known volcano is on Mars and the volcanos on Pluto erupt ice? We then made our own volcanos out of a bottle, card and tissue paper. We needed good team skills to do this! We then erupted them using boiling water and dry ice! We had to be very careful and use tweezers whilst wearing safety goggles as dry ice is extremely cold. How exciting!
