Today, all of the children took part in a circuit that involved a number of aerobic activites. They were joined by Jenny Wallwork and James Kirton who are GB Commonweath medallists. Jenny delivered an inspiring assembly where she discussed her journey. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The children will sleep well tonight! Thanks to all who have already sent in sponsor money. We will still be collecting sponsor money until Friday 6th March.
This evening saw our year 5/6 footballers go head to head against Humberston C of E in the Ramsden Cup quarter final. After a tight and competitive game of football the boys came out on top winning 3-2. We will meet the winners of Cloverfields and Yarborough Academy in the next round with the winners going on to play at Blundell Park. Well done boys.

This afternoon our gymnasts took part in the Key Steps Gymnastics competition hosted by Twist and Flip Gymnastics.
The teams competed on the floor, the vault as well as a body management routine. Congratulations to our year 5/6 team which finished 3rd overall in the team competition and our year 3/4 gymnast who finished 3rd in the individual competition.
Yesterday our Year 5 Dodgeball team travelled to Beacon Academy to compete in the SSP tournament. Unfortunately the side were unable to match the success of our year 4s last week, just missing out on a quarter final spot. However a great afternoon was had by all.
This year both Signhills and Signhills Infant Academy will be celebrating World Book Day on Friday 6th March. Our theme is Fairy Tales so we would like the children to come dressed as their favourite character from a Fairy Tale.
Ideas might include Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella and Goldilocks and the Three Bears and there will be a prize for the best costume in each year group.
During the day the children will take part in a carousel of activities across the school to foster a love of books and reading.
Thank you in advance for your support.
